The Air Jordan 13 Retro Lakers became a popular release in homage to the 1990-1991 NBA Finals, in which Michael Jordan won his first championship by defeating the Los Angeles Lakers.

Los Angeles Lakers colors were used in the palette to spice up Jordan's 13th signing. The upper is made of white leather, while the mudguard and heel are wrapped in purple suede as accents. Completing the design of these Retro Lakers sneakers is a heel-mounted side hologram and a purple Jumpman stitched on the tongue. A black rubber outsole backs it up.
